About Edwin Zeelmaekers

Founder and CEO of Eburon Resources, taking a unique approach to energy investing: Leveraging world-class expertise to build a risk-managed, focused portfolio of non-operated interests in High Value and High Impact Infrastructure-Led wells on the US Gulf Coast. Prior to founding Eburon Resources held a variety of roles at Shell, with key experience in evaluating conventional and unconventional growth opportunities and assets for New Business Development and Deal Delivery activities in a variety of geological and commercial settings. Actively worked both sides of the Atlantic Margins, the Gulf of Mexico and onshore North America, evaluating exploration opportunities and asset transactions in over 20 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Americas, including some of the largest exploration farm-in opportunities globally in the past decade. Started career at Chevron, first as a consultant and visiting scientist and later as supervisor of Chevron’s mineral analysis labs. BSc and MSc in Geology and a PhD in Quantitative Mineralogy. Member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) and served as an international Chamber of Commerce chairman for many years in Houston.
