ABOUT EDWIN WONG

Edwin Wong is a skilled corporate adviser with substantial experience in principal investing and legal practice, including advising corporates, financial sponsors / investors and sovereign wealth funds on business critical, cross-border and market-changing M&A, joint venture and strategic investment transactions. Applying this background in corporate finance, he is currently a senior M&A underwriter at AIG, where he underwrites transactional liability risks. Edwin is admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.Edwin has particular experience in the real estate, asset / investment management and logistics / transport sectors, together with significant international and commercial expertise, having worked in the UK, Asia and the Middle East variously as an adviser to the UK Government\'s Vaccine Taskforce, a legal adviser in private practice and as an investment analyst at a London-headquartered private investment firm. In addition to corporate finance mandates, he has also advised clients across all sectors - including listed and unlisted investment funds and government-related entities - on general corporate matters, special situations, corporate reorganisations, commercial contracts, corporate governance matters and joint venture exits.Formerly, as an analyst at independent private investment firm Tower Bridge Equity, he regularly provided practical and strategic advice on a range of LBO and MBI/BIMBO acquisitions, from the deal origination stage to assisting in negotiations and managing legal and financial arrangements for acquisitions.Combining Edwin\'s experience throughout legal practise and within principal investing, he possesses a strong and focused understanding of both primary and secondary market transactions, investment strategies, risk management and compliance, and international and English commercial law.
