Internal consultant developing and refactoring system architectures using a model-based systems engineering approach across a number of different programmes spanning the complex weapon portfolio. The programmes include- Anglo-French weapon system for a helicopter platform - Specific and generic command and control system architectures - Generic weapon systems architectures - Air defence systemsResponsibilities include- Leading and facilitating design workshops - Interfacing with sponsors and stakeholders to determine needs - Partitioning the system into a number of subsystems and components allowing further teams to further develop- Generating a layered sets of requirements from System,sub-system and equipment requirements - Generating Interface definition, defining interfaces which are loosely coupled, reusable and interoperable for use across a number of physical solutions and export opportunities - Expanding my knowledge through conference attendance and in-house research- Responsible for the company–wide adoption of MBSE into the company on an international basis- Redirecting and course-correcting failing architecturesResponsibilities include- Formed part of an international wide team to bring in a company architecture framework and model-driven development process- Responsible for starting up a number of key projects using a model-driven approach. This was achieved by organising and running workshops and one-to-one tuition- Responsible for training others with the use of tools and concepts- Developed a ‘hands-on’ detailed process using a model-driven development tool and SYSML to show off the concept- Introduced standard architecture framework concepts from TOGAF and MODAF- Honoured with a ‘Reward & Recognition’, ’one-star’ & ‘two star’ innovation awards.
