About Edward Ford
I am a Logistics and Supply Chain professional with 15+ years of experience in the military, public and private sectors. I am currently looking for roles as a Supply Chain Manager, Analyst, or Buyer. I am experienced in project management, operations management, transportation, warehousing, airport operations and humanitarian logistics. I am skilled in leading and training diverse multifunctional teams in very ambiguous situations where goals and processes change frequently. I am looking to expand my experience to more diverse and analytic roles in the supply chain. This will allow me to provide business operations context to data, information and analytics. Logistics and Supply Chains are the systems and processes by which all things move. These systems are integrated into everything we do: service times in a drive-thru, the loading of people on aircraft, selling groceries, and shipping bits of information all over the world. These systems are all part of the stage in which the story of our world is told. My talents are in creating, learning, modifying and teaching logistics and supply chain systems and processes to others. My professional goal is to serve in more strategic supply chain management roles, utilizing my operations experience to enhance supply chain networks.

Parcel Analyst supporting enterprise transportation and logistics for all subsidiary companies (BGS, BDS, BCA, etc.), critical to Boeing’s supply chain health, enabling production stability and growth, while meeting critical aircraft program needs. • Led a small team in building a cloud database in order to create historical performance and In-Transit Visibility (ITV) reports.• Partnered with FedEx to resolve 50+ lost shipments of aerospace parts and have them delivered to the correct owner, allowing for aircraft production stability, reducing Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) time, and saving replacement, reorder and claims costs. • Created plans and processes to assess transportation risk and mitigate potential impacts, such as carrier labor strikes, seasonal weather, or customs documentation delays to 13K+ daily FedEx, UPS or DHL parcel shipments to the Boeing Supply Chain.• Collected, compiled and transformed data from multiple sources (carriers, internal systems) to identify trends and patterns of recurring issues and network gaps in order to propose and execute data-driven transportation solutions.
