I have 38 years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in the handling and management of multiple commercial lines, including commercial property, general liability, auto, trucking, hazardous materials transportation, intellectual property, auto warranty, inland marine, and watercraft.My background is rooted in commercial property and casualty claims. As Assistant Vice President of XL Programs from 20••••09, I oversaw a comprehensive Catastrophe (CAT) program, which required significant leadership throughout 2004, 2005, and 2006. My responsibilities included the selection, management, and direction of Independent Adjusters performing field inspections. I contributed to rate development, contract negotiations, and provided on‑site support to adjusters in the field. I also played a key role in establishing approved counsel and vendor panels.During these major CAT events, I spent extensive time in Florida in 2004 and in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana in 2005. I continued to actively participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and litigation management for the remaining open files within this program.I am a member of the Loss Executives Association (LEA), a professional organization dedicated to the commercial property sector.    Working as a contract employee for Markel through Oliver James handling construction defect claims; propertydamage only. Although I have not done this type of work for many years now, it came back quickly specificallybecause of my property background. We utilize the same independent adjusters and experts as I have inproperty for my entire career and I find the investigations are very similar in nature.
