Action for Children protects and supports children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support, ensuring their voices are heard, and campaigning to bring lasting improvements to their lives.I support with organisational communications, as well as project planning and delivery, during a time of transformation for the charity: Supporting the successful deployment of a comprehensive IT programme, replacing legacy HR and Finance systems with a unified Oracle system across Action for Children, enhancing operational efficiency. Led the communications on a strategic overhaul of internal pay structures, achieving a 90% approval vote from Trade Union members, thereby saving the charity millions of pounds in ongoing staff costs. Introducing and managing a new intranet for a geographically diverse charity, enhancing internal communication and engagement, with a 292% increase in intranet views between 2022/23 and a 23% higher staff satisfaction score than the not-for-profit benchmark for sharing good news and celebrating success. Liaising with and advising senior leaders (Chief Executive, National Directors, Managing Directors, and Directors) around staff communications, engagement, and crisis communication. Leading internal communications projects and campaigns, including the annual staff awards.
