Assessed and advised on draft legislation leading to the passage of Supplementary Law No. 213 of 2025, enabling cooperative insurance companies and automobile mutuals to operate in the Brazilian insurance marketplace for the first time.(2024-present)• National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA) CLUSA International- USDA-funded Enabling Cooperative Business Environment project identifying policy, legal, regulatory, and procedural barriers for Native American farmers to develop producer cooperative businesses.(Dec. 2022-present)- Facilitated initiative for cooperative law and regulation reform in Guatemala, Peru, and Ecuador under the USAID-funded Cooperative Law and Regulation Initiative (CLARITY). Completed stakeholder analysis, conducted environment assessments, presented results and recommendations to national cooperative leaders and congressional commission. 2019 – 2023- CLARITY 2.0 Research Project: co-led quantitative and qualitative investigation of the CLARITY methodology and toolkit with 14 cooperative legal and regulatory reform experts worldwide through 10 interactive virtual seminars in English and Spanish to conduct research activities. Designed, collected and analyzed multilingual online surveys.(2021 – 2022).• US-Egypt Chamber of Commerce, home-based: Facilitated vender identification and proposal process to migrate business journal from paper to interactive Web and electronic format. December 2020• NCBA CLUSA, Home-based: Co-led 3 week virtual training workshop for the Ecuadoran Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock on the fundamentals of developing modern cooperatives for over 100 agricultural leaders and ministry staff for USAID Farmer to Farmer program. December 2020• Proauto, Indaiatuba, Brazil; and Fenaben, Belo Horizonte, Brazil: Presented keynote presentations on mutual insurance at national conference. Oct-Nov.
