ABOUT EDWARD LEE STEADMAN

I have worked in fashion retail for over 20 years. During my time in the UK with Van Mildert I progressed from Sales Advisor to Area Manager. In 2009, while carrying out the role of Area Manager the company went on to win 3 Drapers Awards including Independent Retailer of the Year 2009. In 2011 the readers of Drapers Magazine voted Van Mildert the 13th most inspiring independent in the UK as well as the number one independent retailer in North East England. After Relocating to the US in 2012 I accepted the opportunity to work for The Webster, a sq. ft. luxury, multi branded independent boutique located in the heart of Miami Beach, which showcases some of the world’s leading designers where I gained experience working with VIC’s of the highest caliber. In 2015 I was lucky enough to fulfill an ambition I had held since being reintroduced to Saint Laurent during my time at The Webster and take on the role of Assistant Store Director at the boutique in San Francisco. After returning to the UK in 2019 I took up the Assistant Managers position with menswear designer of the year Rick Owens. Another exciting opportunity for me to work with a designer I had admired for many years. During my career I have had the pleasure of working with collections from some of the world’s most recognizable fashion houses including Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Balmain, Celine, Chanel, Dries Van Noten, Givenchy, Margiela, Rick Owens, Saint Laurent, Tom Ford and Valentino.
