About Edward Jaffe
I am an experienced orthopedic surgeon with a demonstrated history of working in the medical practice industry. Skilled in Robotic assisted and Outpatient Total Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine, and Strategic Planning. My skill set has been developed through education, tempered by military training and honed by the challenges of more than 30 years in a surgical practice. I have strengths in strategic planning, decision-making under pressure, communication and consensus building. My board experience, business education, liberal arts education and military experience provide me with a point of view that stands apart from a traditional medical background. But I am more than that.My life changed radically in 2004 when on my 51st birthday I was diagnosed with leukemia. There were challenging moments when my life was threatened, but I faced those challenges. I treated every obstacle as an opportunity to get stronger. With the love and support of my family, my wife\'s knowledge of nutrition as medicine, and some outstanding doctors I stand here 20 years later fit and strong and facing every new day with joy and energy.I am ready to bring all my experience to new endeavors and to help and inspire others. I am ready to move on from a paradigm of sick care to a realm of true health care. Where people learn on how to use food to prevent disease, exercise to feel more vibrant, family and social connections to be more involved, and faith and mindfulness to be more intentional.
