About Edward Iannielli

I am a CPA since 1990 and I have worked in both private industry and public accounting. I have had varied experience in various industries representing both small and medium sized businesses. I have been involved in all facets of accounting and taxes and am a member of the AICPA.My goals are to best advise my clients on accounting matters during prosperous times and difficult times and to continue ongoing professional relationships and always maintain my knowledge of current tax and accounting changes and make myself available to all my clients.My current status is that I am healing from severe depression as a result of an emotional breakdown due to job loss, son\'s illness and continuing struggles, my personal struggle with being transgender since age 4, my father\'s suicide on April 16, 2009, my mother\'s premature death on March 21, 1990, my friend\'s premature death at age 40 in 2011 and seeing his wife and baby girl saying their last goodbyes and the financial pressures I have resulting from job loss and a weak economy. I’m studying to become a peer advocate with Academy of Peer Services and Rutgers University.My chance to become Emily as I\'m now transitioning from male to female has not been easy as it affects so many people, especially my son, my family and my friendships but I\'ve struggled with gender dysphoria since early childhood and feel much happier and liberated and now feel true to myself. I personally feel our society\'s views have to change. I believe there is a major hangup on the clothing one should wear. I feel there is nothing wrong if a boy wishes to wear dresses. If that is what makes him happy and allows him to express himself as he identifies and as a result to feel better and will spare him a lifetime of pain and depression then so be it. Let him wear the dress! So what! It really is no big deal in my view because I was that boy but I could not tell anyone and there were many times I wished I could just go to sleep and either awake a girl or at least dress as one.
