ABOUT EDWARD CORLETT

I am a professionally qualified ScrumMaster (PMI ACP, CSM) and Project Manager (APMP) and I\'ve performed these roles in a range of industries including Software Houses, Financial Services, Insurance, Digital Agencies, Non-Profit and Higher Education.I\'ve experienced the challenges of transitioning from a Traditional/Waterfall approach, culture and mindset, to an Agile one, and coached teams to deliver projects against this backdrop.More recently, I\'ve expanded on my own Agile skills and experience to explore and learn how else, as part of a team, we could deliver the changes required by a fast-changing market place to, ultimately, delight our end users and key stakeholders. One example of this was by analysing data from both stage and end-to-end cycle times of our Kanban system and making small adjustments to our process and behaviours; as a team, we managed to increase our throughput by 20%!(Good guide here: https://leankit.com/learn/kanban/lean-flow-metrics/)There\'s more detail under the job descriptions below, so feel free to take a look!In summary, a few of my core beliefs are:(1) No two projects are the same, you must always adapt and tailor your approach.(2) Push information outwards and do it ALL the time.(3) If the data is there, use it to aid decision-making.(4) Agile is hard (but worth the effort). And a few of my key skills:(1) Stakeholder management - call me old-fashioned, but I like to talk to people and keep them informed of what\'s going, whether it\'s a 2 week sprint or a 9 month new product build.(2) Removing blockers and cutting through \'noise\'- if there\'s something stopping the team from being and delivering their best, then I like to get involved.(3) Team Dynamics - I love (among others) what Dan Pink has to say and really buy into his principles. Outside of work I am kept busy with my family life (acting as moderator between 3 kids) and supporting Bristol Rugby club.
