SKILLS
ABOUT EDWARD BAUER
Geoscientist with 15+ years of experience in unconventional resource development and operations geology. My background is in horizontal well planning, real-time geosteering, and infill drilling analysis across multi-rig programs, work that puts a geoscientist at the intersection of subsurface interpretation, drilling execution, and completions decision-making.Most of my career was built at Murphy Oil in the Eagle Ford Shale and Austin Chalk, where I led geosteering and horizontal well planning across a multi-rig, multi-year development program, directed landing zone optimization, and oversaw infill studies that drove formal reserve revisions and multi-million dollar improvements in pad economics. Earlier work at Samson Resources added Cotton Valley Sands and multi-basin experience across the Ark-La-Tex, Green River, and Powder River Basins. More recently I generated and drilled exploration prospects in Southern Louisiana at Dunn Exploration.I\'m currently in a project management role at Boardwalk Pipelines coordinating OT/IT infrastructure projects, a bridge position while I focus my search on returning to subsurface geoscience work. That could be development and operations geology at an operator, exploration or A&D support at an advisory or investment firm, or applied geoscience in an adjacent energy sector.I bring a combination of technical depth and the ability to translate subsurface uncertainty into decisions that drilling, completions, and business development teams can act on. Always glad to connect with people working on interesting subsurface problems.
