Mr. Weber is a senior electrical engineer with over 38 years of experience in power system analysis and planning, operations, and project management. Ed has experience in power system modeling, power flow and stability analysis, power system operations, transmission tariff processes, transmission and generator interconnection procedures and agreements, and NERC Compliance. Mr. Weber\'s experience includes 30+ years of management of large transmission facility projects requiring: coordination of project planning, system studies, facility design, and environmental and permitting activities; coordination of consultant activities; coordination of regulatory and contractual activities; interfacing with the transmission owners and operators; and preparation of detailed technical reports. Ed has direct experience with hydro system operations and the electrical interface with transmission grid operations in the west. Ed has directed projects and technical staff in the performance of over 50 System Impact Studies for both Large and Small Generator interconnections in many of the Regional Transmission Organizations across the country. He has negotiated interconnection agreements, cost allocation agreements, and terms and conditions of transmission service for existing and new generation under the auspices of FERC approved tariffs. Ed managed the NERC Compliance program for a major Midwestern utility for nearly 10 years. Ed also teaches several short courses on power systems and cost estimating of major transmission projects.
