Ed is a Vice President in Brookfield’s (NYSE: BAM/BN) real estate asset management practice where he is responsible for managing tax compliance and planning for open and closed ended private funds totaling over $30 billion of AUM across various real estate asset classes and credit strategies. He is well versed in REIT compliance matters, federal and state taxation of corporations and partnerships, corporate restructurings, inbound and outbound tax matters, as well as withholding and tax treaty analysis.Prior to joining Brookfield, Ed was a Senior Associate at Deloitte Tax LLP advising on tax matters for institutional real estate-focused asset managers and public and private REITs.Ed received a BS in accounting from The Pennsylvania State University and a MS in taxation from Pace University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of New York.
