I’ve spent more than two decades working at the intersection of technology and capital markets, with a focus on electronic trading, market infrastructure, and financial data. More than half of my career was based in Tokyo, Japan, with the rest centered in San Francisco, giving me practical experience navigating both U.S. and Japanese fintech ecosystems.At JETRO, I work with San Francisco Bay Area and Pacific Northwest–based startups that are looking to expand into Japan. I help companies understand the local market, connect with the right partners, and access the resources needed to establish a successful presence. I also work closely with state and local governments across the Pacific Northwest, including Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.Previously, I was Managing Director at Trading Technologies, a global futures and options trading platform, where I ran day-to-day operations and led sales efforts across Japan and South Korea. Earlier in my career, I held senior roles at Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters working with trading desks, exchanges, and financial institutions on technology adoption and market structure.
