As a member of the HR and OD senior leadership team I engage with all areas of the business to ensure that HR and OD service design and delivery meets the current and future strategic needs of East Sussex County Council and plays it’s part in the realisation of our corporate priorities. I lead the service with overall accountability for- HR strategic planning, policy development, equalities, engagement, employee benefits and project management and delivery- Pay strategy and projects, reward and job evaluation- Recruitment strategy, operations, brand, attraction and executive appointments- Attendance Management, Occupational Health and Wellbeing – management of short and long term absence cases and holistic interventions to improve employee wellbeing, happiness, health and engagement- Management and governance of the delivery of all HR supplier contracts including Temporary Agency Supply, Absence Management, Occupational Health, Employee Assistance, Benefits and Reward and Recruitment Marketing- Health and Safety – both corporate and schools/academies- Workforce data analytics, SAP system structures and people metrics
