Was Executive Vice President of Corporate Operations and Chief Financial Officer of SPSS Inc. from 1992 to 2004. SPSS was a global public company providing predictive analytics technology and services with 2008 revenues of $303 million. The company was acquired by IBM in 2009 for $1.2 billion. Managed the two SPSS public offerings, directed its mergers and acquisitions activities, and was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s business infrastructure, including finance and treasury, corporate marketing, human resources, legal and corporate governance, and information technology. Was head of SPSS business development from 1986 to 1992 after senior roles in sales, marketing, and professional services.Received a Ph.D. from the department of political science at The University of Chicago and was an assistant professor of political science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Areas of expertise included American political behavior and organization, statistics and research methods, and comparative Middle Eastern politics. Received B.A. and M.A. from the University of Maryland at College Park.Specialties: Audit Committee Financial Expert, general high-technology company operations for growth-oriented firms, M&A process and integration.
