ABOUT EDWARD G.
I am a Senior Associate in Eversheds Sutherland’s Tax Practice whom has a particular focus on indirect taxes (including VAT, IPT and Customs Duties). I predominantly advise on contentious indirect tax matters but have experience of direct tax disputes, personal tax disputes and criminal tax investigations. I also provide tax support on transactional funds and finance matters, in particular Real Estate Finance transactions - acting for all major UK retail banks and a range of debt funds.I also advise clients from a wide sector, most of which are household names, and am well versed in providing complex VAT / indirect tax advice. I provide strategic advice on VAT issues faced by overseas suppliers of both goods and services to UK consumers (tackling complex import VAT and questions on the place of supply rules), as well as financial institutions on questions relating to the VAT treatment of their supplies.
