ABOUT EDWARD CLAPP

Hello, I\'m Edward! I work as a Principal Investigator at Project Zero, a research center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I\'m also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Next World Learning Lab, a global consulting firm committed to creativity, innovation, and lifelong learning. My research and consulting interests include the exploration of creativity and innovation, design and maker-centered learning, contemporary approaches to arts teaching and learning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in education. For over a dozen years my colleagues explore these issues with our partners through a variety of collaborative inquiries around the world. Some of my recent books include The Participatory Creativity Guide for Educators; Envisioning Innovation in Education—Hong Kong; The Maker-Centered Learning Playbook for Early Childhood Education.I live on the Northshore of Massachusetts where I spend time futzing around with any number of half complete home improvement projects, attempting to grow vegetables, painting in my garage, and venturing to the beach year-round with my wife and two young children.
