About Edward Anthony
Edward joined USSC as the Global Center Business Manager and APP Development Manager. He brought 25 years of transformational continuous improvement experience. Co-Leading with Global Center Leaders, Edward provided the support and trusted guidance to develop a meditation app. He managed a new product development team with the Director of Business Development & Strategy utilizing Disruptive Innovation Methods. Prior to USSC, Edward was a Performance Improvement Advisor for 7+ years at Stanford Children\'s Health (SCH). He managed the Affordability and Continuous Improvement Portfolios as well as the Innovation and Education Core Goal Enterprisewide through the application of Everyday Improvement Ideas (EIIs). In addition, Edward instructed the PQMS Foundations 1-day training, Daily Management System (DMS) Leadership Training as well as A3 Training on how to solve problems through the A3 Thinking curriculum. Prior to joining the Performance Improvement team at Lucille Packard Children\'s Hospital, Edward was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting where he implemented Clinical Effectiveness projects, New Hospital Activation Operational Planning designs, Health Plan stabilization performance improvement, and conducted benchmark analysis for the majority of hospital systems in California. Before Deloitte, Edward delivered extraordinary results for more than 8 years of Lean and Six Sigma operational improvement programs at Lee Memorial Health System, Fort Myers, FL. As an Operational Improvement Coach, he partnered with healthcare leaders to implement lean transformations in the following areas: Emergency Department, Acute Care Patient Flow (Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida), Lab, Imaging, Pharmacy, Open Access Ambulatory Care, Supply Chain, and Perioperative Services. Edward is a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certified Black Belt. He has led organizational transformations and training in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and automotive with a number of Fortune companies. He has presented at the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Resource Institutes (NACHRI), Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), Stanford Nursing Symposium, Stanford\'s Lean Academic Healthcare, and the Volunteer Hospital Association (VHA). Edward holds a Master’s Degree in International Business Administration (MIBA); a Master’s Degree in Education from Barry University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts.
