ABOUT EDUARDO LUZ

With over 25 years of experience in software development, Eduardo Luz has developed a diverse skill set that spans across various programming languages, frameworks, and technologies. His journey began with micro-computer software development and Mainframe development. Since 2001, he has been dedicated to web development using PHP, complemented by frontend technologies like jQuery, Bootstrap, VueJS, and React.His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found IASoft in 2001, and he has since been actively involved in startup initiatives as both a founder and mentor. His passion for innovation drives him to explore emerging technologies such as Blockchain applications and cybersecurity, aiming to enhance IT performance, security, and sustainability.Currently, he is a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer at Checkfront, working remotely, and an instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), where he lectures on Operating Systems and Cloud Computing. He also volunteers as a mentor, guiding individuals from diverse backgrounds in their IT careers.His academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Liverpool John Moore University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Software Engineering from the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, and an MBA in International Strategic Business Management from Universidade Independente de Lisboa. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Universidade do Vale do Itajaí, where he was awarded for achieving the best scores in his course.He is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, continuously learning and applying new tools and techniques to increase productivity, security, and reliability in Information Technology.
