About Edu de Herran

Born and raised in the Basque Country, I was lucky to grow up surrounded by art and great food. My professional career has always been in the brand and advertising field. I’ve been fortunate to work in world-class advertising agencies like BBDO, Sra Rushmore, The Community and Ogilvy where I’ve been among incredible coworkers and leaders that have helped shape who I am today.For over 20 years I have served more than 50 clients, and my work has been recognized at many industry award festivals including The OneShow, Cannes Lions, Effies, Clio, LIA, FWA, Eurobest, I handled great and horrific clients; brilliant and embarrassing briefs, and I’ve endured big holding company politics. I also had the opportunity to teach at the Miami Ad School, the Complutense University in Madrid and the European Design Institute.Today, I’m the Principal, Creative and Production Lead at Manufactured, a brand innovation studio. We design and build brand experiences and storytelling objects: physical, functional, and sometimes unexpected stuff that help brands amplify their advertising, PR, and social ideas in the real world. I live somewhere between creative direction, strategy, fabrication, and delivery.When I’m not working, I paint, cook, watch the Athletic Club and I spend as much time as I can with my family and friends.

   At Manufactured, I lead creative and production efforts to help design, prototype, and build brand storytelling objects, physical experiences and smart artifacts that amplify ad campaigns, events and experiences, PR, social, and influencer strategies. From concept to execution, I bridge strategy, design, and fabrication, overseeing everything from early ideation to final delivery.
