As the Commissioner of Risk Management, I will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to the City of Cleveland. This includes assessing potential threats to the organization\'s assets and operations, as well as developing and implementing strategies to minimize the impact of those risks. I will also be responsible for ensuring that the organization\'s risk management policies and procedures are in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Additionally, you will work closely with other departments to identify and manage risks related to specific projects or initiatives, and will also be responsible for communicating with Cleveland City Council and the Mayor\'s Office about risk management issues and progress.

Experienced public sector risk and operations leader with a long record of improving government performance, strengthening safety culture, reducing costs, advancing technology and championing accountable service delivery. I am excited to blend teaching, entrepreneurship and mission driven advisory work. I will be instructing with the Center for Public and Nonprofit Management at Cleveland State University and advancing several new business ventures including Alpha Omega Apparel Inc, Chiflitos Snacks with trademarks in process and Romero Holdings LLC. I remain a strong advocate for freshwater conservation and responsible long term stewardship across the Great Lakes region. I also have a growing passion for public speaking and leadership messaging. My focus is on real world lessons learned, modern government reform, evidence base decision making, safety culture, career resilience and the dignity of public service.
