About Eduardo Back
Agronomist Engineer, MBA in Agribusiness, CX Champion, Marketing & Digital Strategy Specialist and Harvard Management ALM Candidate. Besides of the challenge of feeding a growing population with limited resources, it motivates me the opportunity of doing it right. Good agricultural practices and responsible technical recommendations are key in seeking the fair recognition of farmers by society. I\'m passionate about marketing, data-based decisions, innovation, diversity and developing myself and others, using empathy as a tool to enhance relationships and deliver results. I’m responsible for the BASF Insecticides Strategic Marketing globally, including portfolio management, definition of strategic market segments and strategy, strategic controlling, regional and crop system leadership, advanced data analysis for business case creation, third-party negotiations and relationship management, pre-launch support and leadership for key assets and project management. During my free time, I love to volunteer (specially in animal welfare, fighting hunger and supporting education), spend time with my family (including my 2 dogs) and practice multiple sports (amongst my favorites is powered paragliding - ask me about it)! If you’re still with me, here are some milestones of my 12-year journey as an Agricultural Engineer & MBA- Seeds Stewardship Global Audit Manager at Bayer US- Bayer 5x5 Startups Innovation Project Member/Inventor in 2017, resulting in a patent for a vegetation detection and alert system for a railway vehicle (US 2018/02•••21 A1)- Product Stewardship Coordinator for Bayer Brazil, where I developed and coordinated strategies and actions focused on maximizing the benefits of crop protection portfolio, and for minimizing the possible risks resulting from misuse of products- Trait Commercial Representative at Monsanto, being responsible for market development, events, trade shows, coordination of product management teams, product positioning trials, and relationship strengthening with the most important soybean growers from Brazil. This opportunity allowed me to develop strong interpersonal communications skills- Agronomy Consultant at a locally owned Plant Nursery with multiple crops, since production technical guidelines to customer service. I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues and business partners. Please feel free to connect.
