ABOUT EDNNA STOBSCHINSKI

I am an early-career Agrology and Environmental Science professional with a B.Sc. in Ecosystem Management (Fish and Wildlife Major) from Lethbridge Polytechnic. My academic, leadership, and professional experiences - including serving as President of the Lethbridge Polytechnic Students’ Association, the Lethbridge Polytechnic Board of Governors, the Lethbridge Polytechnic Chapter of The Wildlife Society, as well as my professional expertise in environmental consulting - have all shaped my commitment to evidence-based land stewardship and community-centered environmental work.My field and technical background spans rare plant surveys, rangeland, riparian, and forest health assessments, invasive species management, water quality monitoring, wildlife surveys, and spatial analysis using GIS. I also bring experience in data quality assurance, technical writing, and project coordination across multi-stakeholder environments. I thrive in field-based roles that require careful observation, strong data management, and adaptive problem-solving.I am passionate about applied ecology, sustainable land management, and creating equitable spaces within the environmental sector. My long-term goal is to specialize as an Ecologist with a focus on botany and wildlife habitat management, while advancing science communication to inspire future environmental professionals. When I am not busy with my professional endeavours, you can catch me volunteering within my community, birdwatching, or bioblitzing local urban and natural parks.
