I discovered a love for coding in my first developer position at McMaster-Carr where I worked as a mainframe developer focusing on warehouse automation projects. Then I transitioned into the insurance world, working with server side COBOL at American National on banking related projects, before finally landing back on the mainframe at my current job in data warehousing at Progressive Insurance. I love remediating tech debt, designing and conducting test plans, systems design, and following a project through the SDLC.I am proficient in Python, SQL, COBOL, and DB2 and experienced in Waterfall and Agile software development.I am also a business proficient Spanish speaker and writer, with experience in producing Spanish content for a government agency.
