About Edlyn Jeyaraj

Hello! I\'m Edlyn, originally from Bangalore, India, and now a proud Tar Heel at UNC-Chapel Hill. My journey in the US started at 11, during which I lived in sunny San Diego for two months before finally settling in North Carolina. At UNC, I\'m a student at the distinguished Kenan-Flagler Business School and a computer science major. I\'m also an aspiring Intellectual Property lawyer; I want to gain industry experience in technology consulting before studying law. My goal in life is to become ridiculously educated and learn as much as I can, both in and out of school. My extracurricular activities at UNC highlight this love of learning: making websites as part of Computer Science and Social Good, facilitating various social events as Membership Officer and DEI Committee Supervisor in Future Business Leaders of America, and organizing workshop events for the Pearl Hacks Hackathon.I am also passionate about women empowerment, and I got to dabble in this passion during my internship with Miss EmpowHer this past year, where I helped empower young women by curating social media content, facilitating outreach, and starting a newsletter initiative, Spotlight Her, with a focus on highlight women\'s accomplishments. My ultimate goal is to support women\'s education in low income countries.Furthermore, I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.
