ABOUT ED LEVINSON
I am a hi-tech generalist with experience in angel investment, government funding for technology companies, and business modelling. Most of my work has been in the software industry, but I have also worked on electronic hardware, biomedical devices, and optical systems. My main focus is on helping early stage technology companies raise money from private investors. I do this through my work at Open Angel and as an angel investor myself. I also advise companies about Canadian government funding programs, such as SR & ED, IRAP, IDMTC, and NSERC’s Innovate programs. I occasionally sit on boards. More recently I have become interested in the educational and entrepreneurial aspects of international development, mainly through my involvement with Ensibuuko, a Ugandan fintech startup.
