I cut things for a living. Mostly video. Occasionally tension.3× Emmy Award winner and 8× nominee for Outstanding Multi-Camera Editing — which sounds very serious, but mostly means I’ve spent a lot of time rotoscoping Elmo and deciding exactly when someone should blink on camera.I live at the intersection of storytelling, timing, and “this feels right, but why?” — shaping performances, pacing chaos, and making live television look like it knew what it was doing all along.MFA in Computer Art from SVA, which is a fancy way of saying I like both pixels and feelings.Outside the edit bay:I mentor in the Childrens Media Association, feed my soul by spending time volunteering with cats (young and old) who are awaiting adoption at the Animal Care Center of New York, founded a scholarship at my old high school devoted to giving a leg up to students intending studies in art, music, creative writing, and theater. I take classes, because you can never learn enough. I\'m on the board & a panelist with the Astoria Film Festival, and also dabble in writing childrens books, singing in the shower (badly), smiling at passing dogs, and painting Trompe-l\'œil patterns throughout the house because apparently one creative obsession wasn’t enough.If it involves story, rhythm, or making something invisible feel inevitable, I’m probably into it.
