I’m a Senior Manager working out of the Vancouver office. I work with clients in the mining industry from early stage exploration all the way through to operators and producing groups. I have worked at BDO for 12+ years. I have regularly travelled to mine sites to deliver proactive, effective audits collaboratively with my mining clients, and through this approach have developed a strong understanding of the industry and my clients, and developed a unique network, externally and internally across BDO globally.I specialise in audits and assurance projects for public listed companies, offering support and advice on a range of reporting and accounting frameworks including IFRS. I’ve supported businesses through a range of projects from IPOs and other going public transactions to acquisitions, disposals and complex group consolidations. I am the primary client contact, alongside the engagement partner, with responsibility for overseeing overall project delivery. I pride myself on offering a collaborative, responsive and pragmatic approach to project and relationship management. My experience gained to date covers the following key areas:• Complex accounting issues/transactions: impairments; purchase price allocations/business combinations/asset acquisitions/RTOs; revenue recognition; complex financial instruments; metals streaming; biological assets; • Broad understanding of industry-specific and Canadian securities commissions/exchange related financial reporting issues; • Group audits of companies with multiple international operations (International, Canadian & PCAOB auditing standards); • Internal controls design, implementation and testing, and s404 (sox) compliance work; • Going public transactions; and • Financial reporting requirements for companies reporting under IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, ASPEBDO operates in 166 countries, through 1,776 offices, with 119,600 professionals. For FY2024, BDO reported global revenues of USD 15 billion.
