ABOUT EDIT PÉCSI

Every great account manager needs to be, above all else, a good listener. Granted, we have KPIs to meet, key clients to retain (over decades please), and scores of new clients to acquire, but at the end of the day, we are people helping people. Whether our client’s challenge is systemic and fundamental, or they just didn’t like a tiny detail in a recent delivery, it’s our job to find out what could make their lives easier, and how we can make that happen. This is my focus, and this is what I have been doing in the past years.I originally trained as a language teacher and professional translator. After having worked in customer care, I found my way naturally into the language translation industry. Over the years, I have covered different roles from translator to project manager, then key account manager, when with another natural move I switched to the technology side.My most recent interest (and somewhat of a guilty pleasure) is user experience, which shares the same focus on finding creative (digital) solutions for the real problems of real people. My natural approach to tasks, targets and challenges is structured and systematic, and I love getting to the bottom of things. Empathy, understanding the client’s angle, and finding realistic solutions to a wide variety of challenges is what helps me upkeep and expand client relationships over time.
