ABOUT EDISON UREÑA-YÁNEZ
I used to work as a tech recruiter which was a long standing goal of mine to work as since I got into recruiting. Working so closely with so many sales-oriented folks and technologists from all walks of life was so fulfilling, there was never a dull day. I’m grateful for that insider knowledge I gleaned and the people I met along the way. I currently work in insurance sales where I’m grateful and happy every time I can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. I’m learning to balance being assertive, factual, and empathetic simultaneously; when I’m not at work, I am progressing in my journey to being a Data Analyst with COOP’s help. I’m learning tech like Excel/Python/SQL/Tableau/PowerBI to accelerate breaking into the tech industry. My time as a recruiter showed me how varied and interesting the projects that data analysts work on can be. I cannot wait to find a company that will value effective communication and neatly presented data with seamless cutting edge formats to better inform the next direction/decisions a company can/should make.
