Hello, I am Edileny! My family and I migrated to the United States when I was eleven years old. At the time, I knew very little about the American culture and did not speak English. However, I was determined to achieve significant academic and professional success. Over the past twelve years, I have dedicated myself to overcoming challenges to accomplish my goals. I have had amazing professors and mentors along the way, who helped me foster meaningful connections, and helped me discover new interests. Along the way, I gained valuable learning experience from organizations such as Vector Marketing, The West Metro Chamber of Commerce serving the greater Denver Metro Area, Silicon Valley Bank, and Morgan Stanley. At the age of eighteen, I had my first job selling cutlery with Vector Marketing. Cold calling and knocking on strangers\' doors were difficult tasks, but these experiences built my confidence and further developed my character. I sold over in my first couple of months and was quickly promoted to the Assistant Manager position. Around the same time, as a senior in high school I interned with The West Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce with the Jefferson County Executive Internship Program, a prestigious opportunity for high-achieving students offered by Warren Tech, a career and technical education center. In this role, I helped with social media marketing and content creation, while also honing my time management, writing, and networking skills. Throughout my college career, I held various on-campus jobs and worked full-time at Silicon Valley Bank as a Client Service Advisor in the Client Service Department. This position was instrumental in my professional development, as I learned how to be resourceful and provide exceptional service to banking clients with diverse needs and personalities. I also improved my listening skills and my ability to remain calm under pressure. More recently, I had the privilege of being in the top one percent of global applicants who applied and got chosen to intern for Morgan Stanley within their Firm Risk Management Division. During my time as an intern, I worked on team and individual projects related to current events and helped to develop solutions for firmwide issues. At the end of my internship, I was given a return offer for a full-time Risk Analyst position after graduation. Currently, I am interested in learning more about the Risk Management and Insurance field, and Enterprise Risk Management. On my free time, I love spending time with my family, and running.
