Personal Care & Daily Living Support: Assist service users with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation while promoting dignity and independence.Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in physical or mental health, administer prescribed medication (where qualified), and liaise with healthcare professionals.Emotional & Social Support: Provide companionship, encourage participation in community and recreational activities, and support mental well-being.Behavioural Support: Implement care plans and positive behaviour support strategies to manage challenging behaviours in a respectful, person-centred way.Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily notes, incident reports, and care plans in compliance with HIQA standards.Advocacy: Support service users in making informed choices, exercising their rights, and accessing community resources.Collaboration: Work closely with families, multidisciplinary teams, and social care staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care.Safeguarding & Safety: Ensure a safe living environment and follow safeguarding procedures to protect vulnerable individuals.
