About Edie Violi

I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina Honors College, where I earned a B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. During my time at USC, I developed a strong passion for leadership, research, and patient-centered care.My research interests focused on early social development and emerging screening tools for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), particularly applicable for infant populations. For my senior honors thesis, I studied head-mounted eye tracking to better understand early social attention. I also served as a research assistant contributing to ongoing psychology research within the Affective Social Cognition Neurodevelopment Lab and Early Social Development Lab.Outside the classroom, I served as Secretary of Alpha Epsilon Delta, Co-President/Co-Founder of USC Women in Healthcare and held leadership within USC Panhellenic, where I helped foster teamwork, collaboration, and a shared commitment to serving others. I have gained diverse clinical experience as an EMT-B, triage volunteer at the Good Samaritan Clinic, cardiac rehabilitation intern, and ophthalmic technician. These roles have strengthened my dedication to compassionate, accessible care and I look forward to beginning PA school in fall 2026.
