A chemicals and materials scientist with a proactive approach to performance and the experience to relate to a wide range of people. Passionate, self motivated and energetic with a strong desire to build a career within the research industry and a drive to succeed. An ambitious person who has developed a mature and responsible approach to tasks and situations and is currently looking for suitable research positions with a dynamic company, research institute or group where I can contribute my skills. An experienced research focused chemist and materials scientist with experience in heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis, composite adsorbents and 2D nano-materials synthesis as well as material characterisation for a number of industrial applications such as thermal applications, membrane separations and catalysis, antimicrobial coatings and wastewater treatment and environmental management. I also have experience in teaching in higher education and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Currently working on water and air purification membranes using 2D materials and thermal properties of polymer composites with 2D materials. A member of the Royal Society of Chemistry(RSC), American Chemical Society(ACS) and an associate member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers(IChemE).
