I have over two decades of scholarly publishing experience with Springer Nature, including 11 years as a journal editor, followed by 10 years in senior management roles within editorial and publishing. Currently responsible for building alliances with research institutions and community organisations who are working to make research more rigorous, reproducible, diverse, inclusive, ethical and open. Before this, I led a team responsible for the development and implementation of editorial and publishing policy across the entire Springer Nature journals portfolio, development of the global inclusion strategy for our journals and books programmes, engagement with our external editorial board members, community engagement with the Zapnito community platform, and for overseeing Springer Nature’s involvement in strategic publishing initiatives for peer review, reviewer recognition, research integrity and similar. Was also responsible for coordinating our content response to current events, including the COVID-19 crisis and #BlackLivesMatter. Long-standing open science advocate. Zhongguo tong.
