Ensures the quality of products manufactured, as well as sourced material from other facilities.•Initiates individual and team projects to perform root cause analysis for quality issues/concerns and scrap sources.•Manages the customer complaint system and grinding center.•Ensures alignment of Standard Operating Procedures with Quality requirements.•Manages the ISO 9001 quality system and plant conformance, internal audits and corrective actions.•Leads Quality & Process control pillar aligned to the site World Class Manufacturing Program (Q & PC Pillar). CPK analysis (Process Capability Index), improvement, and control.•Identify and lead business improvement initiatives to achieve QA objectives•Provides technical product training for the site. •Analyzes operations and pursues strategic and operational initiatives to reduce costs and/or improve service efficiency or effectiveness.•Monitors developing industry quality standards and determine the needs of the site with consideration to cost and return on investment. •Interacts with the Plant Manager and other internal teams including operations, supply chain, finance, customer service, sales, etc. for decisions regarding service, quality, waste, and throughput to maximize each department’s ability to achieve and exceed objectives.•Deliver significant operational improvement and financial benefit at the manufacturing site through direct project work on large, strategic WCM projects.•Ensure continuous operational improvement and financial benefit at the manufacturing site.•Align World Class Manufacturing initiative and project objectives to site business strategy and help prioritize projects.•Train, coach and develop pillar leaders and employees with Yellow/Green Belts.•Provide problem resolution point of contact for Green Belts to offer technical or professional expertise.•Monitor Pillar KPI’s and project delivery to ensure benefits are realized.•Offer technical expertise and guidance in project reviews.
