   Maintain long-term vision for advancement of capabilities of Systems Engineering. Research and champion tools and processes. Advance technology within group and other disciplines through training, recruiting, researching, publishing, assisting in objectives/initiatives, and leading technical groups. Provide global mentoring, regardless of engineering discipline. Establish and educate organization on technology readiness levels (TRL). Identify opportunities for new/expanded services. Develop and maintain system and sub-system architectures, requirements, models, interface control documents, and plans for integration and qualification. Conduct decomposition of complex problems and/or systems. Architect complex systems by using formal systems engineering processes. Including leading sub-system design trade studies, performance modeling, and component trade studies. Apply engineering experience and formal systems engineering tools to deal with ambiguous requirements and/or facilitate teams through pragmatic choices about design, architecture, and implementation.
