About Edgar Johnson

As a recent MBA graduate, I’m seeking new opportunities and challenges where I can operate in my strengths, increase and advance my skillset, and make a difference in the lives of customers, clients, and colleagues. It is my moral obligation to make the most of myself by maximizing my natural talents and skills to serve others in my life and career. I measure my success in the impact I’ve made on others, which is reflected in my career as a supervisor, trainer, mentor, and coach. I attribute much of my success to my ambition, integrity, ability to overcome barriers and business savviness. As much as I think about group dynamics and employee morale, I think about how my decisions affect the bottom line. My strong interpersonal communication skills have allowed me to build and maintain strong relationships with direct reports, peers, and all levels of management. My greatest strength, however, is emotional intelligence. By managing hundreds of frontline staff in a fast-paced, stressful environment, I’ve developed the ability to identify shifts in energy in both my employees and colleagues. It has allowed me to address employee issues before they surfaced, which has led to increases in morale and trust. Although I’ve accomplished a lot in my career, my most significant achievement was earning my MBA while working full-time, at times more than 60 hours per week. As a result, I am confident that my people skills coupled with my analytical and financial acumen can add value to virtually any organization. At this point in my career, I’m actively looking for opportunities to use my skills, education, experience, and passion to contribute to the success of an organization aligned with my professional values and career goals. In order to grow, we must step outside of our comfort zone. After working in the same organization for a decade, it is time to find new ways to create value. For now, I look forward to using this platform to expand and build my professional network.
