In my current role, I lead data-driven initiatives to drive innovation to enhance and optimise operations within Financial Crime Hub (FCH) at Fidelity. I oversee the data workstream across the FCH domain projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with our roadmap through collaboration with domain leaders like CDD screening and wider data teams. I tackle data challenges, shape business outcomes, and foster a data-centric culture.One of my critical responsibilities involves overseeing the team responsible for the management of Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) rules. This includes actively engaging with rules owners and implementing processes to address errors efficiently and effectively.

I\'m from Brazil, and at 19, I packed up and moved to the UK—no big reason, just went for it. Starting fresh was tough, but it opened doors, especially in my professional life. Over the past 10+ years, I\'ve done various roles, spending more than 10 of them in the energy industry. And for over 8 years, I\'ve been knee-deep in data. Quite a journey! I found my thing with data, especially Data Governance and Management. I\'ve got hands-on experience supporting businesses in setting up data governance frameworks and quality metrics. From understanding how data flows in a company to creating and using a data catalogue, my past experiences have boosted my career, and I\'ve met some awesome people along the way. Properly governing and managing data is an ongoing job, always changing, with lots of cool tech nowadays to help us out. For me, good data governance starts by laying down- Rules- Processes, and- AccountabilityAnd planning for long-term goals, like improving- Actionable data- Coordinated data sources- Who gets access to data—the right folks with the right access- Making sure people know about the data—no unnecessary access- Owning up to the data- Making sure the data is rightThere\'s a ton that needs to happen to make sure data governance works, and it\'s often a bumpy ride. But if you do it right, with the right people sending the right message to stakeholders, the value starts showing. Because, let\'s be real, if everything worked perfectly all the time, I\'d be out of a job!Oh, and when I\'m not knee-deep in data, catch me diving from the sky as a hobby. It\'s like data—sometimes you need a leap of faith! 🪂
