I started my retail career at the age of 11 with an after school part time job at a small \"mom and pop\" 2 store operation. The owner took me under his wing and taught me some “retail” lifelong lessons that I feel have made me who I am today. By the time I was 15, I knew the basics of managing and I assisted in buying. Needless to say, I fell in love with this industry and have been involved ever since, working my way up from entry level positions to regional management of a national chain. I have considerable bi-coastal experience with different types of retailers in all aspects including management, work force management, visual merchandising, marketing, logistics, buying, warehousing, printing, multi-store, loss prevention, forecasting, market testing and feasibility studies. I define myself as a leader that is passionate and is never complacent. I always want more out of my job, my career, and out of life. I am proud to have on my resume, that back in 1995, I helped to start a company called Against All Odds. I was involved all aspects of their business, I helped build it from the ground up and I personally contributed to the growth and success of the business during my 14 year stay there. 15 years ago I took my talents and love for retail to an up and coming Jrs National Chain Madrag. When I started my role as a District Manager, overseeing 7 stores, we had 24 stores in 7 states. We now have over 100 stores, 18 districts in 14 states. I’m glad to have been part of a team that has contributed to this amazing growth especially in these challenging times.
