About Eddie Barrón

I am a proud product of public education whose commitment to public service is grounded in lived experience. Raised by a single mom, I developed an early understanding of the structural inequities facing so many working people and families. That perspective has shaped both my values and my work, driving my passion and fierce approach in political organizing, strategic communications, and advocacy in underinvested communities.I graduated early from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy. Professionally, I serve as a Legislative Correspondent and Digital Assistant for Representative Adelita Grijalva, Arizona\'s first Chicana congresswoman, and l am the youngest member of her staff. Previously, I served as Communications Director for Vice Mayor Lane Santa Cruz, where I led messaging and public engagement efforts at the local level and helped steer policy related to fare-free public transit, affordable housing, and climate resilience initiatives.As a first-generation college graduate, strategist, and proud Tucsonan, I am driven to advance progressive change, elevate young voices, and fight for policies that deliver equity and opportunity for all.
