ABOUT EDDIE SKEY
Utilized as Enterprise Architect / Sr. Security Consulting Architect- Mr. Skey entered the security field in 1994 and has 30+ years of extensive experience in information security, including security advisory/consulting services, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security architecture, policy development, and hands-on implementation services. Eddie\'s primary focus has been on Security initiatives on the East Coast engaged with National Security Projects, Banking, HealthCare, Manufacturing, and Critical Infrastructure Providers. Most of Mr. Skey\'s security engagements involved many facets of the information security arena. Primarily, Mr. Skey has led network security information audits that review current corporate security status/posture. From his audit findings, he assists corporations and provides insight and direction on improving future corporate security postures. Upon completing the security audit, he frequently assists in the security remediation effort. Furthermore, Mr. Skey has developed security solutions to solve enterprise security crisis situational issues. Secondarily, Mr. Skey has assisted in the development and execution of Computer Incident Response plans. These plans have included the design of Incident Management Architecture (event correlation), IPS / DLP (Intrusion Prevention Systems / Data Loss Prevention) design and deployment, and selecting and coordinating a Corporate Computer Incident Response Team. Thirdly, Mr. Skey has been used to audit and architect solutions for Intuitions requiring HIPPA, GLBA, Sarbanes-Oxley, ISO27002 Security Framework, SAS70 & SSAE 16 compliance. Mr. Skey has been depended upon for counsel and advice to mitigate and minimize known security vulnerabilities and best practice strategies for engagements requiring federal or regulatory compliance. Mr. Skey has spoken professionally on many security-related topics: Enterprise Security Design, VPNs, Encryption, Email Security, 2-factor authentication, and Incident Response. In 2004, Mr Skey Founded the Charlotte Metro ISSA Chapter, where he was the president for many years. Was honored as President Emeritus for Charlotte Metro ISSA Chapter. In 2014, Mr. Skey Founded and Hosts The Annual \"Carolinas CyberThreat Forum,\" an \"Invitation Only\" Event that Showcases Internationally Known Cyber-Security Experts deliberately focused on security discussions precisely positioned for Information Security Leadership and CyberThreat Investigators.
