Handle calls, email or other written or verbal communication based on BHG’s open-door procedures.•Oversee and provide employee relations and corrective action guidance and support to the Leadership and Management teams. •Review and approve progressive disciplinary notices including terminations.• Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination or resigning.•Interpret Progressive Discipline Policy and other employment-related policies to ensure consistent and fair application for improved employee morale and attainment of objectives.•Provide opportunities for policy and process improvement. Update Employee Handbook accordingly.•Conduct ongoing employee relations training with PD Business Partner, Management, and Leadership teams. •Respond to and partner with appropriate managers, to investigate internal claims of harassment, discrimination, workplace violence and other serious policy violations.•Take statements from complainants, witnesses and accused.•Follow up to ensure that all material information, facts, and details have been obtained, and obtained and signed off on where applicable.•Assess the merits of a case based on facts and other findings from the investigation.•Recommend solutions for resolution of a claim that are balanced with company policy and state & federal law.•Maintain logs and records of team member relations issues in our HRIS system through email correspondence, phone calls or written communication.•Provide guidance in regards to employment background checks in compliance with federal and state law, as required.•Assist with responses to unemployment claims as requested.•Assist with the creation of and execution of cultural initiatives at BHG in conjunction with the Business Partner and Programs team. •Assist the PD Leadership team with various special projects, as assigned. •Responsible for the ongoing support of facilities management.
