   I currently serve as one of three Majors within our agency, overseeing multiple divisions of the Sheriff\'s Office. I bring comprehensive operational and leadership experience, having worked in or supervised nearly every division, including Patrol, K-9, Civil/Court Services, School Resource Officers, Criminal Investigations, Professional Standards/Internal Affairs, Logistics/Quartermaster, Detention, Staff Services, and Records/ID. I also manage a section of professional staff personnel.As the Accreditation Manager, I also lead our agency’s CALEA Accreditation efforts. In April 2022, we achieved our initial accreditation, making us one of only ten Sheriff\'s Offices in North Carolina to hold this distinction.My responsibilities extend to budget development, equipment procurement, and oversight of technology initiatives, including body-worn and in-car cameras, Tasers, mobile data terminals, and our records management system (RMS).I have also served as the agency’s Public Information Officer (PIO), responsible for drafting press releases, coordinating with media outlets, and managing all official social media platforms.Our agency includes approximately 105 sworn deputies and a total workforce of around 160 employees, including detention officers and professional staff. We serve the unincorporated areas of the county—covering roughly 550 square miles with a population of approximately handle an average of calls for service each year.
