Special education teachers have many roles, including assessing students, adapting lessons, and creating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Special education teachers are highly trained professionals who help students with diverse needs. They need to be able to interpret, evaluate, and analyze facts and information to form judgments. They also need to be able to emotionally understand what other people feel.This has been one of my favorite roles.
