About Eddie Custy

Originally from Lone Tree, Colorado, I graduated from the United States Military Academy with a major in Economics and earned an MSc in Health Analysis, Policy, and Management as a US-UK Fulbright Postgraduate Awardee at Strathclyde Business School.Formerly studying Chemistry, I pursued research on countermeasures to neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and PTSD. Recognizing a critical gap in global research around equitable access to innovative treatments, I shifted my focus toward the economics of drug development and commercialization. In the United Kingdom, I continued this multi-disciplinary research to facilitate efficient, equitable distribution of treatments for both neurodegenerative disorders and orphan diseases to the world’s most vulnerable populations. As a cadet at West Point, I contributed to the Peace & Dialogue Leadership Initiative, was a captain of the Alpine Ski Team, conducted open-source military research for Special Operations Command, and led 144 New Cadets through Cadet Basic Training — earning recognition as Best Company Commander.Currently, I serve as an Engineer Officer with the 4th Engineer Battalion in the US Army. I am passionate about applying my leadership skills and multidisciplinary expertise to support Army engineering missions and contribute to the force’s operational success.
