The Executive Chef works closely with the Director of Nutrition to oversee all aspects of the hospital’s nourishment and clinical nutritional services. My role as the Chef is to hire and support my team of Department Leads to ensure our team of diet clerks, room delivery tray passers, food service partners, cooks, stewards, café team-member, and volunteers are providing the highest quality of care for our patients and staff. Scripps Health is a nonprofit health care system based in San Diego, California. The system includes five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, and treats a half-million patients annually.
