ABOUT ED OLDFIELD

In January 2024 I was selected as Head of Risk for Platform Securities, FIS. I am responsible for driving the risk agenda forward, supporting the business and delivering high quality MI and data to governance committees. My responsibilities are highlighted below Report on all non Financial Risk, Chairing the business Risk Committee, supporting and holding the business accountable for risk identification and mitigation. I work closely with iNEDs to enhance understanding of business risks including the Chair of Board Risk. Additionally:Delivery of the FCA requirements on Operational Resilience. Reporting on Consumer Duty. RCSA cycleRisk Event Management ICARA material harm assessment Credit, Market and Model risk. Vendor and Outsource governance and oversightRisk Appetite Statement and KRI ownershipAttending and Updating the Board and working with NEDs on risk matters. The Risk Management Framework. Key control review, challenge management and reporting. I have a team of colleagues in the U.K. and India supporting me. Prior to this, I was a Global First Line Derivatives Risk Lead at Bank of America supporting the operational areas with risk identification and mitigation, managing events and escalating as necessary.I have more than ten years of experience in risk management across various prestigious financial services providers. I have directly managed many risk types including operational, investment, financial crime, reporting, tax, sourcing, capital, operational and market risk. I am a Chartered Banker Certificate and Diploma holder and hold diplomas in Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Bribery and Corruption from the BVCA. My core competencies include delivering and embedding Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICARA) material harm refresh exercises, engaging and challenging board level colleagues, and meeting regulatory deadlines and expectations. I have a strong track record of improving risk frameworks, processes, and controls, and communicating complex recommendations to senior stakeholders. I am passionate about continuous risk management and supporting the business to make better more informed decisions. In August 2025, the FCA confirmed my application for SMF4 Chief Risk.
